Booked a vacation or still trying to choose your perfect accommodation? Then we understand that many things are going through your head. For the most frequently asked questions we have created this page. If you do not find the answer to your question here, please feel free to contact us. We would love to help you!

What are your opening hours?

We are always there between 09:00 and 17:00 on normal working days (Mon-Fri). For our weekend opening hours, school holidays and non-standard periods, please refer to our contact page.
What time can I check in?

Check-in is possible between 15:00 and 17:00 in our accommodations*. Arriving later? No problem. We will contact you on the day of arrival with information about the key to your cottage.
*For our group accommodations (20+ pers.) you can check in between 16.00 and 17.00.
Until what time can I check out?

Everything comes to an end, unfortunately. Check-out time for everyone is at 10am. Except on Sundays, then we offer a lazy checkout and you may stay in the accommodation until 8pm.
Is bed linen provided?

Without doubt, the most frequently asked question. The answer is yes indeed! 🎉 As standard, a bed is made for each person on arrival and kitchen & hand towels are provided. That saves on packing again.
Please note: the beds are not made up as standard in the group accommodations, but you can book this service.

All suitcases inside? Perfect. Time to set the wifi code. The wifi code is on the inside of the kitchen cabinet 📲.
Can I park my car at the accommodation?

In the vast majority of cases, the answer is; Yes, you can. All Villa Vogelveld, Villa The IJsvogel and group accommodations offer the possibility to park one car directly next to the accommodation.
At the Sand Lodges and Wellness Lodges, you can park your car close to the accommodation.

We have a small shop at our reception for so-called 'forgotten groceries' and a nice local bottle of wine or a delicious Veluws beer. The nearest supermarkets can be found in the centre of Voorthuizen, where there is a large Albert Heijn supermarket.

In most accommodation, your four-legged friend is more than welcome. We also offer accommodation that is explicitly pet-free for allergy sufferers. So please make sure you have added your pet when booking to avoid disappointment! 🐶

Lovely, right? Sunshine, drinks & a BBQ. It is allowed to barbecue at our park, but please be considerate of the neighbours?
We do not have a barbecue for rent. You need to bring your own. By the way, a good tip is to outsource the BBQ to MAUK catering, also great for groups!

For sure. At so-called 'P4', you will find a double charging station. It is very nice if you move the car again as soon as it is 100% charged, so that the next guest can also charge their bolide! ⚡️

The IJsvogel is all about the real Veluwe feeling. That is why we work together with Bakker Piet from Elspeet. You can order your favourite products from Monday to Saturday morning from Baker Piet. You can order until 5 pm for the next day. Not on Sundays and public holidays! 🥖

Unfortunately, it is not possible to cancel your reservation free of charge, only if you have cancellation insurance when booking.
Cancellation is subject to our general terms and conditions, which can of course also be found on our website and are based on those of the trade association Hiswa Recron.

No, not by default. But if you ask us, of course we'll take care of that ✔.
The cost is €3,50 per night. You do need to bring your own bed linen for the cot/cot, which is more hygienic for the little one! 👶🏼
Surroundings & Activities

Are there any nice hiking trails from the park?
Absolutely, when you cross the main road you walk straight into the forest. This is where you come to follow the coloured posts, for example. These routes are between 5 and 7 km long. We will be happy to tell you more about them in our living room, where you will find not only beautiful walking routes, but also wonderful cycling routes! 🥾

Our entertainment is basically present in every holiday period of the year, except spring break. In 2023, these are: Easter, May holidays, Ascension, Whitsun, summer (week 28 to 34), autumn holidays and Christmas holidays (from 27-12).
The programme will be published on this page a few weeks before the start of the holiday period.
